The Mechanical Engineering Department has a graduate programme in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. Both programmes offer Master of Engineering (MEng), Master of Applied Science (MASc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. The MEng degree is a professional terminal degree (does not lead to a PhD). The MASc and PhD degrees are research-based degrees. Both programmes are administered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering Graduate Coordinator using the rules and procedures described by the Dalhousie University Graduate Calendar and the Faculty of Engineering Graduate Studies Handbook.
