JAWSS is a mechanical engineering design project at Dalhousie University.
Each year the graduating class embarks upon an eight month project to develop and hone the engineering skills acquired over the preceding years. This year is our turn, and JAWSS is our project.
It is a Submersible ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) that is designed to be capable of a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, hull inspection, underwater surveillance, or environmental assessment. JAWSS is compact, easy to use, and relatively inexpensive.
